Ongoing Projects

 

Wellness Research Projects (WRP)
Program offers culturally relevant information on natural and holistic approaches to wellness. The objective is to provide information to communities experiencing a lack of awareness and/or understanding of natural health practices. WRP wellness is preventive maintenance, or natural methods of eliminating the need for unnatural cures.

Our anti-tobacco/counter marketing project is a multi-media campaign to keep the public informed about health and wellness issues surrounding tobacco manufacturing, promotion/sales and usage.

Non-profit Management (NPM)
Conducts workshops and training services for community based groups in need of obtaining tax-exempt status; Board, staff and volunteer recruitment; grant writing /fundraising; marketing/promotion; accounting systems and policies or procedures that improve day-to-day operations.

Alternative Media Production Services (AMPS)
Professional production teams, offering training and services in both the creative and technical aspects of audio/visual production, print/graphic communication and special event coordination for distribution and live presentations.

Four Birds Four Mountains Project (FBFM)
Specifically developed to encourage, support and assist community education centers, engaged in collaborative fundraising efforts. Grassroots community schools affiliated with religious groups are given priority consideration.

International Studies Resource Center (ISRC)
A cross cultural education project providing public school districts and community service agencies with representatives and materials from diverse cultural backgrounds, for the purposes of sharing authentic traditions and/or experiences that can improve communications, build understanding and enhance learning potential.

LifeForce Jazz (LFJ)
A network of professionals, with the primary purposes of providing jazz education, preserving the jazz tradition, promoting artists, performances and the original concept of jazz as America’s National Treasure. Special emphasis is placed on jazz history and appreciation for youth and adults.

Summer Science Academy (SSA)
In collaboration with Alternatives in Learning Institute and University of California Cooperative Extension Urban 4-H Youth Development Program. SSA is a full-time 8-week summer program specifically designed for inner-city youth, ages 8-11, who has experienced underachievement in reading and writing in school. The objective is to promote literacy through science exploration.

Universal Communication Services (UCS)
Provides research and conducts workshops on the survival needs of the racially, ethnically and linguistically diverse populations of America. Primarily focusing on English as a second language, participants are encouraged to learn English, but more importantly, they must understand the psychology of the English Language as it applies to other world cultures. BES Future Position To accommodate a growing migration towards global consciousness, more projects reflecting progressive changes in human consciousness will be needed. Applied psychology, language and media communications will continue to be our focus, as we evolve with the times.
